Preserved Flowers, Archive Study #9, 1970-2020 Vinyl Substrate 53" x 48" Preserved Flowers - Archive Study is a body of work that explores the use and function of a photographic archive. Using found images specific to flower preservation, I’m interested in the process of cultivating and caring for the plants, the tedious process of preserving these plants, to the creation of the still-life photographs. I then manipulate the images by hand with digital tools, creating drastic or subtle changes, which speak to the possible changes when creating, using, and preserving a digital archive.
